Hooty’s Healthy Tips: Physical Activity – Indoors and Out

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends that children get 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity on most days – even rainy days.  How to keep our kids moving when the weather isn’t cooperating? Turn on your favorite songs and have a dance party, get creative with pillows and boxes to create an indoor obstacle course, play an active game like duck-duck-goose or hide-and-seek, or be really adventurous and brave the rain to jump in puddles and enjoy getting wet. You can still have active fun without lots of sun!
