Kindergarten & New Student Registration
To the right you will find all of the information needed to register your child. Kindergarten students must be 5 by Sept 1, 2019. If possible, please print and complete the forms before you come to school, so we can expedite your visit and get you back to your day. We encourage you to have all of the necessary documentation, but if you do not have your Medical forms (3231 & 3300), you may submit them to the school within 30 days to complete the process. Please bring your original documents and, if possible, an additional copy (if you have a copier available) to expedite your visit.
We will be administering a short 10 minute screening process for all incoming Kindergartners. This will be a simple assessment to better understand your child’s learning level before the school year begins. Our screeners will take them to a separate room to do the evaluation. We would appreciate you bringing your child with you to registration to complete the screening process. If that is not possible at this time, you may request a follow up assessment appointment at registration.

2018-2019 Dual Immersion Language Application is Open
As you know, Bolton Academy offers a Spanish Dual Language Immersion program for students zoned to their schools and for the grade levels listed. Students begin in Kindergarten and continue each year. The application does not guarantee your child a spot. Should applications exceed the number of available slots, the school will determine placement via a lottery process that will be conducted by the local school. We fully expect to have a lottery again for this rising Kindergarten class.
Please submit the DLI Application form by Friday, March 23rd to the front office. If you have not registered your child yet, you will need to complete all of the registration information in addition to the DLI Application. The front office will be accepting registration documents Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-11 through March 30th.. If you have already completed your registration, you may come by anytime to drop off the DLI application form.
2018 - 2019 Dual Language Immersion Program Application Process
Please complete the appropriate application listed below and return the Dual Language Immersion application with the completed APS Student Enrollment form to your child's school prior to the deadline. Priority admission is given to students who are native Spanish speakers, students who are currently in a Spanish Dual Language Immersion program in another school, and to siblings of students already in the APS DLI program. Twins will be treated as one applicant in a lottery process. The APS DLI program only serves students who reside within the school's attendance zone unless the school is a designated Choice School.
Kindergarten Dual Language Immersion Application for 2018 - 2019
If your child is not currently enrolled at Bolton Academy and you want your child to be considered for entry into the DLI program for 1st grade for 2018 - 2019, please download the application below. (Please note that APS will only support entry into the DLI program after 1st grade for native Spanish speaking students and students who transfer directly from another DLI Spanish program.)
1st Grade Dual Language Immersion Application for 2018 - 2019
The Dual Language Immersion Program initially began in APS during the 2013- 2014 school year and has grown each year. DLI schools add a grade level to the program each year until the program spans all grade levels, Kindergarten through 5th grade. The APS Dual Language Immersion Program is a two teacher, 50/50 model in which students spend half of the day learning in English and the other half of the day in Spanish.
